If my Phalaenopsis orchid has bacterial infection, should I just toss it?

I found a soft mushy spot on one of the leaves, and immediately chopped it off. I researched it online and found out it was a bacterial infection. But within days, all of the flowers have wilted and now it looks like its gonna die. Should I just throw it away or will it come back from this? What should I do??

If there are no other spots and the crown is unaffected, it should be OK.

Remove the spike and repot.
