Please give climate conditions, (For instance I live in FL),what i need for fertilizer, which type/species I probably should look for and how certain climate changes would affect them.

Florida is tropical so it means hot and humid too. Orchids by nature like shady and cool place…with sunlight but not direct sunlight. So to protect your Orchids from sun burnt you should use a net to screen the sunlight. You could buy this net in garden shops. Generally, orchids are high maintenance plants, they need constant attention if you like them in bloom regularly. There are liquid fertilizer…actually its known as soluble fertilizer you will know more about them when you check out any garden shops, fertilizer as food supplement or for blooming purposes. I don't like spray fertilizer it's hazardous to ones health. I favor the multicote fertilizer…commonly known as slow release fertilizer that you could also buy from garden shops. Dendrobium variety is quite a lot of choices…and they easily bloom too, if you are a first time gardener on orchids I suggest Dendrobium, Vanda and Phalaeonopsis…then other variety will follow…there are lots and lots of them.

Orchids like to have have light on their roots so use a clear pot as for lilies just give them lots of nutrients a feeding and a watering now and again.

lilies are very hardy and will grow in full sun to partial shade.they prefer sandy, well drained soil.asiatic lilies are bulbs whereas day lilies and tiger lilies are rhizomes.when useing a fertilizer organics are best.i have had great results with fox farm.good luck
